"There is a clear gap in the market for a survey text on leadership theory that is interdisciplinary, includes theories designed for use with college students, and is grounded in social justice. Existing texts tend to (1) be bound to a single discipline, such as business or psychology, (2) lack the critical perspective necessary to fully understand the justice orientation central to many contemporary leadership theories, and/or (3) omit the very theories designed for working with college students.
